The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
